The mission of the office is to facilitate the planned orderly growth of the community through the creation of new jobs that will ultimately expand the city's tax base, the retention of existing jobs/businesses and improvements in the quality of life for every citizen. The City of Maumelle works closely with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) and the Metro Little Rock Alliance (MLRA) in a regional effort to offer incentives that will meet the needs of new businesses and the needs of existing businesses that are experiencing or anticipating growth.
