The SWTDD is designated by the Federal Government as an Economic Development District to provide assistance to eight counties in planning and facilitating economic and community development projects. The staff collects, analyzes and disseminates statistical/demographic information, provides technical expertise, conducts surveys and studies, and administers and manages grant funds for communities in the district.
