The purpose of the EDC is to advise the Borough Council on matters relevant to economic development within the Borough. It is to encourage Borough-wide economic and community development by creating a program for business assistance, establishing working relationships with Borough businesses, and acting as a business advocate and liaison if needed between Council and business owners and developers. Further, this Committee shall advise the Council on factors influencing development in the Borough. Such factors can include, but are not limited to, taxation, socioeconomic issues, development guidance, infrastructure needs, etc.
