The Downtown Development Department manages the revitalization of the Downtown Redevelopment District and works with businesses, property owners, and local entrepreneurs to renovate, rehabilitate, and develop new downtown Florence businesses. It administers the City of Florence Downtown Redevelopment Grant and Façade Grant programs and oversees the Florence Downtown Development Corp. (FDDC), a 501(c)3 nonprofit that hosts festivals and coordinates promotions.
