Muncie Economic Development is a City of Muncie department composed of four divisions with programs that cultivate opportunities and community resources to improve Muncie’s vitality as a place to live, work, learn, and grow. The four divisions — Redevelopment Commission, Residential Programs, Economic Development Commission, and Industrial Revolving Loan Fund — assist with business development opportunities, abandoned residential properties, residential programs, tax abatement recommendation, collaboration for entrepreneurs and start-up businesses, live/work areas, and federal grants to assist manufacturing.
