The Chesterton Economic Development Company, Inc (CEDC) was created to improve the quality of life for Chesterton and to improve the economic climate in the Town of Chesterton through job creation, business retention, and by promoting quality development. The CHAMP loan program was created to encourage participation of small businesses in revitalization and redevelopment; CHAMP loans are issued at 2% interest to be paid in 5 years, with a non-refundable application fee of $10 for loans up to $10,000 (and CHAMP II for larger requests).
