The Economic Development Commission (EDC) aims to enhance the City of Auburn's business environment and economic base while preserving and enhancing the social, natural, and financial resources of the community. It designs and promotes an economic development plan, facilitates the creation of jobs, champions assistance to new and existing businesses, promotes the city as a destination with emphasis on lodging, food, recreation, entertainment, and the arts, encourages doing business locally, and advises the City Council, City Manager, and Planning & Public Works Director on economic development matters.
