The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is a local government incorporated in 1964 with a manager form of government, governed by an elected mayor and Assembly. It provides borough services area-wide and non area-wide and includes divisions such as planning, permitting, business licenses, and development projects to serve residents and businesses in the Mat-Su area.
