The Economic Development Division of the City's Community Development Department prepares pro-active economic development/redevelopment strategies, plans, and programs; serves as the City's liaison to local, county and regional development organizations, and local, state, and federal governments. The division also promotes the City as a business and residential location and assists new and existing businesses and industries with development projects; prepares grant applications and financial packaging to assist new or expanding businesses; and prepares grant applications to aid in the development and redevelopment of housing, community facilities and public improvements.
