The Director of Economic Development for the City of Marion is Megan Jones. She is responsible for developing and maintaining economic development programs to attract and retain businesses in Marion. The Director also provides service and assistance to existing and prospective start-up businesses in utilizing local, regional, state and federal incentive programs, promotes local businesses and retail sales programs, actively promotes the city as a desirable location for travel and business development, prepares studies and reports to enable the City Administrator and City Council to make informed decision,s and speaks to community and professional groups.
