The Cape Cod Commission is the regional land use planning, economic development, and regulatory agency created in 1990 to serve the citizens and 15 towns of Barnstable County, Massachusetts. Its mission is to protect the unique values and quality of life on Cape Cod by coordinating a balanced relationship between environmental protection and economic progress.

The Barnstable County Economic Development Council (BCEDC) is an advisory board to the Barnstable County Commissioners established to guide economic development policy to improve the quality of life for all, foster a healthy economy with livable wages for year‑round residents, and protect the region's natural and built assets. It advises on the development, content and implementation of the Cape Cod Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), approves the 5-year CEDS document, and advises on funding to award economic development grants and contracts, including the License Plate Grant program.

MassDevelopment provides financing, real estate, and community development solutions to grow businesses, create opportunity, and energize cities and towns across Massachusetts. It aims to revitalize communities, expand housing, and create jobs.
