The Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce represents Hannibal's business community by providing programs and opportunities to prosper member businesses. Its purpose is to promote the commercial, industrial, civic, and general welfare of the Hannibal area, leading to its optimum development and growth.

Organized in 1984 to promote growth and investment in Hannibal, Marion County, and Ralls County, HREDC is a nonprofit, public/private partnership that works to promote new investment in the area and to provide assistance to new and existing businesses in the Hannibal region to help them sustain, grow, and excel.
