The Miami Area Economic Development Service, Inc. is a regional leader in imagination, innovation and implementation for our local businesses, entrepreneurs, and potential partners in the Miami region. MAEDS focuses on five strategic areas of focus: business retention and expansion; workforce development; collaboration with local city, county, and tribal governments to enhance communication and partnership; revenue growth; and recruitment of new business.

The Community Development Department oversees the development of land within the City of Miami, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations, in order to protect and promote the health, safety, and general welfare of the residents. This team provides services including Building Inspections and Permits, Contractor Licensing and Registration, New Construction Requirements & Licensing, Floodplain Management, Maps and Records, Planning, Design, and Construction of the City's Infrastructure, and Zoning.

Grand Gateway Economic Development Association supports member organizations in Northeast Oklahoma as they work to enhance residents’ quality of life, recruit and retain successful businesses and solve everyday challenges. GGEDA partners with and provides innovative services to local communities in their efforts to grow, thrive, diversify and strengthen the regional economy, and advocates on behalf of Northeast Oklahoma to state and federal leaders.
