Lane County's Community and Economic Development Program partners with local business support organizations, cities, special districts, and economic development agencies to facilitate community development and create economic prosperity. The goal of Community and Economic Development is to support vibrant communities through furthering economic opportunity across Lane County with specific focus on the rural and unincorporated communities of the county.

NEOEDD provides financial, technical, and educational resources to entrepreneurs/small businesses, nonprofits, and municipalities in Northeast Oregon (Baker, Union and Wallowa counties). It supports small businesses with workshops and funding (loans, Individual Development Accounts, and other resources) and provides professional assistance to municipalities by administering CDBG funds, facilitating meetings and strategic planning, researching project feasibility, and grant-writing.

Business Oregon is the state's economic development agency. The Business Oregon Commission oversees the agency's activities to ensure a coherent, integrated approach to economic development and a continuous policy direction that can transcend changes in executive and legislative leadership.
