The Chaska Economic Development Authority (EDA) promotes development and redevelopment that will enhance the city's small-town atmosphere. Its responsibilities include promoting new businesses, retaining and redeveloping existing businesses, developing sites that are economically difficult to develop without public assistance, encouraging the development of housing in the city that is safe, diverse, and gives our citizens affordable options to own a home, helping restore blighted properties and downtown historic buildings through redevelopment, and increasing the scope of services offered in the city.
