The FEDC is a not for profit (4B) Economic Development Corporation that actively promotes Forney for business and commercial development, recruits new businesses to Forney, and partners with existing businesses and industry both large and small. The FEDC operation is led by staff that works with a business and citizen volunteer group appointed by the City Council. It is funded in part by a voter-approved quarter-cent dedicated sales tax.
